Custom Polyclonal Antibody Development Service in Rabbit

Polyclonal antibodies (pAbs) are antibodies that are secreted by different B cell lineages within the body. They are a collection of immunoglobulin molecules that react against a specific antigen, each identifying a different epitope.

Custom recombinant antibody is performed by immunizing rabbits with a supplied or synthesized immunogen, cloning the immunogen-specific antibody genes into mammalian expression vectors, expressing the specific antibodies in mammalian cell lines and screening the enerated antibodies for specificity.

Polyclonal antibodies are produced by injecting an immunogen into an animal. After being injected with a specific antigen to elicit a primary immune response, the animal is given a secondary even tertiary immunization to produce higher titers of antibodies against the particular antigen.

Salient Features of Custom Polyclonal Antibody Development  Service :-

• 12 Weeks protocol to produce antibody
• Generally 2nos. New Zealand White Rabbits are used.
• For Antibody production total 7 immunizations are performed.
• Collection of 3 nos. of  Production bleeds from each animal.
• Before Immunization starts Pre-immune sera (3-5 ml) collected from the animal.
• After collection of all Sera, ELISA Titer testing used for Pre, 1^st & 3^rd Immune sera.

 

Immunogen required for custom polyclonal antibody development :-

• For Protein (Provided by customer)-3 mg, 
• Concentration: minimum 0.5 mg/ml
• For peptide (Min ~5-7 mg)

 

N.B.-  In our custom polyclonal development/production we can also use Rat / Mice.
