Preristaltic Pump

PRERIST PUMP

peristaltic pump (or roller pump) is a type of positive displacement pump used for moving a variety of fluids. The fluid is contained within a flexible tube fitted inside a circular pump casing. A rotor with a number of “rollers” or “wipers” compresses the flexible tube, forcing the fluid to move through it

Key Benefits

  • Contamination-Free: The fluid only touches the inside of the tubing, making it ideal for sterile or aggressive chemicals.
  • Gentle Pumping: Low shear forces make these pumps suitable for sensitive biological fluids like blood or cell cultures.
  • Precision Dosing: They provide accurate flow rates, often used for laboratory metering and industrial dispensing.
  • Self-Priming: These pumps can run dry and prime themselves without manual intervention.
